We held off as long as possible, but two weeks ago we finally moved all the cows down to our lower pastures on the ranch – unfortunately, this marked the start of feeding hay. And yesterday we sorted said cows into early and late calving groups – unfortunately, this means the 2017 calving season has officially “unofficially” started. Actually, as I’m sure you all agree, it’s always exciting to get started…

We had a blast of cold weather the past few weeks and it looks as though more is headed our way. Here’s hoping mother nature sends snow everywhere but here ; )  We hope you all enjoyed a little down time through the holidays and wish you all a happy new year!
