Greetings!

With the shortening of days and cooling of temperatures,
I can’t help but wonder where the past couple months went.
As usual, summer flew by. We’ve had  a good summer.
And although we’re short on moisture and hoping for a good rain,
we are thankful for the successful harvest and adequate pasture land.
We weaned the calves September 6th,  finished harvesting September 13th,
and cut our final alfalfa field yesterday.
Just when one feels as though the work is finished, more suddenly appears.
Soon we’ll be draining the irrigation lines, and getting things “winterized.”
Seems like only yesterday we were burning ditch.
